Berries, bounties and shops
One Berry is worth about one yen, as in the series, and every price and reward sits on that one scale. Bread costs ฿150; Higuma's bounty is ฿8,000,000.
Berries
Berries are a number on your character, never an item, so they cannot be dropped, stolen by a glitch or duplicated. See them on the Logbook's Gear page and in every shop. A wallet holds up to ฿2,000,000,000.

Earning Berries
- Quests pay what the job is worth: errands ฿8,000 to ฿30,000, village jobs ฿50,000 to ฿120,000, and the big hunts far more (King of the Mountain ฿500,000, the Lord of the Coast ฿800,000).
- Enemies carry pocket money: bandits ฿500 to ฿1,500, swordsmen up to ฿4,000, a brute up to ฿15,000, raiders and corsairs ฿20,000 to ฿50,000. Foes five or more levels below you pay nothing.
- Hides and trophies sell to the butcher at Buffalo Meat (a bear hide ฿6,000, the Lord of the Coast's fin ฿80,000).
- Money titles are earned at ฿500,000, ฿5,000,000, ฿50,000,000 and ฿500,000,000 earned in all.
Bounties and wanted posters
Wanted posters hang on notice boards. Each one prints a live photograph of its subject, taken in the game in a random pose and angle, so every world's posters are its own.
| Wanted | Bounty |
|---|---|
| Alvida | ฿5,000,000 |
| Higuma | ฿8,000,000 |
Coming after Dawn Island: beating a wanted person gives a bounty claim that Marines and Bounty Hunters cash at a Marine post, while Pirates (who cannot claim, as in canon) take the target's treasure instead. Players will get bounties and posters of their own for crimes against the World Government, starting at ฿1,000,000.
Fair play
- Shops buy back for at most about a third of what any shop sells an item for, so no buy-and-sell loop pays.
- Boss rematches pay a fraction of the first clear.
- Players cannot hand items to each other until the secure trade window arrives.
